Jashn-e-Chilai-Kalan

A special function was held in the school hall on Wednesday 30-11-2022 to celebrate the advent of winter and the inception of winter vacations for the lower primary department.

Children dressed in traditional Kashmiri attire participated in various cultural activities. Using Kashmiri humour they eloquently depicted both importance of Chilai-Kalan and the hardships it brings for the masses.

It was a fun day and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

Happy holidays. #HappyChildren #Winter #School #Kashmir

Auturm Walk 20222

Last week LPD department went on a autumn walk to the University of Kashmir, Hazratbal Campus.

Children were asked to spot the signs of Autumn.

During the trip children walked over lots of leaves and twigs listening to the crunching sounds. They had lot of fun creating a leaf shower!

They also stopped under the huge chinar trees to collect their favourite leaves and explored the range of colour.

Special Covid-19 Vaccination Camp | Saturday, 29th Jan 2022

Asalamu - Alaikum

Dear Parents / Guardians,

J&K is again witnessing a sharp rise in Covid-19 infections which has led to the dramatic increase in Covid-19 related hospitalization. To minimise the spread of the virus, the government has had to yet again impose lockdowns. The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) recently passed an order stating that only vaccinated (15+-year-olds) will be permitted to enter the school campuses when the schools open in March. Also, we have strict guidelines from the government education department to only allow vaccinated students to enter the school campuses.

As we have emphasised in the past it is highly vital to get vaccinated to protect ourselves against the scourge of Covid-19, through this communication we reiterate the importance of vaccinations. Research has proven that vaccinations are highly effective against the spreading of the virus and help prevent serious illness and death.

Through this letter, we again urge you to get your children vaccinated as they won’t be permitted to enter the school without that.

In this regard school management in collaboration with Public Health Centre (PHC) Narwara, has scheduled a special Covid-19 Vaccination Camp for unvaccinated children aged 15-17 years. It is your responsibility to make sure that your children attend this camp on Saturday, 29th Jan 2022 from 11 am onwards at the school campus.
