Important Notice

Dear parents / guardians.

We hope and pray for your good health during these testing times. Unfortunately, your children couldn’t attend the school due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected not just Kashmir but the whole world. Due to the same reason, we believe it won’t be possible for us to conduct the annual exams at the school premises as your child’s health is our utmost priority.

Now it is time for your children to be promoted to new classes. We will soon be informing you all of the dates and times to collect your child’s question papers and answer sheets from the school premises.

Once you have collected your child’s annual exams question papers, we request you not to help them in completing their exams otherwise the whole exercise becomes futile and by helping them in their exams not only will you be deceiving us but you will also be deceiving your child. We request you to please let them honestly complete their exams.

During this pandemic, our staff has been working very hard to assist and to continue teaching online. With limited resources and intermittent internet, they have tried their best to reach out to as many students as possible. Prior to starting online lessons via Zoom, the school made study material available online for students to download through the school website. We have also partnered with Google to provide each student with a unique account to access Google’s online services for education.

Dear parents/guardians the salary of our teaching staff and non-teaching staff is solely dependent on the fee collected. The school is an independent unaided institution and runs solely on the fee paid by the parents. We appreciate the financial impact that COVID19 has had on our lives especially for those who work in the transport, hospitality, and retail sector, however, as already outlined the school will simply cease to exist if we don’t receive your corporation in these difficult times.

So, given the situation, we request all those who can to please help us during these testing times and deposit the fee owed to the school so that we can pay our staff, pay rent and other expenses. Those of you who have been adversely impacted by COVID19 and are not able to pay the full fee at once we will take that into account and help you in any way we can.

Online Classes

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following the Government’s directive of extending the countrywide lockdown, we have decided to move to online teaching. The lessons will be conducted through an online platform called “Zoom”. In the coming days, you will receive a meeting ID with instructions on how to join this ‘meeting’.
Zoom will run on all web-enabled digital devices, including desktop computers, laptops, and tablets. If needs must, it will also work on any smartphone, although a small screen is not ideal. Whilst we obviously do not have hardware that we can give to students, we can offer advice on which devices work best.

Timetables:
We will endeavor to run as many classes as we possibly can via online platforms. The sense of normality and routine is an important element of reassurance for students during an unsettling time. It is also the most efficient way to ensure continuity of learning for all. If the closure becomes prolonged, there may be some adjustments made.

Attendance
Registers will still be kept, and students are responsible for logging in to all of their scheduled lessons. Key lessons will be recorded on Zoom and then transferred onto a central archive, where students will be able to get later access if they miss a lesson or want to refresh their memory.
