Dear parents,
Further to our previous communication regarding online classes please find the online class timetable for classes 1st to 7th attached below. The timetable will take effect from Thursday, the 14th of May 2020.
The study material for all classes has already been made available to download from the school website. We, endeavor to cover as many important topics as possible via online platforms.
Login details for attending online classes will be shared with you (those who have filled the data collection form) in advance via SMS or WhatsApp. Please keep an eye on your SMS and WhatsApp.
Attendance
Registers will still be kept, and students are responsible for logging in to all of their scheduled lessons. Key lessons will be recorded on Zoom and then transferred onto a central archive, where students will be able to get later access if they miss a lesson or want to refresh their memory.
Student Conduct & Behaviour
Students are expected to log-in to online classes on time and be well prepared with the necessary resources. As with a normal School lesson, they are expected to be attentive and participate willingly and respectfully. Students do not need to wear School uniform when online, but must be dressed appropriately for a school environment. As with normal classes, students must not disrupt the learning environment for others.
Teaching
Wherever possible, lessons will echo what would normally occur in the standard physical classroom, although some modifications may be appropriate for the digital environment. The online learning platforms allow for the sharing of digital content and visual resources. Powerpoints may be talked through and visual examples shared. Reference to other online resources such as YouTube clips to be viewed later may also be made. Resources may be shared before, during, or after a class, and students should access these resources in a timely fashion to ensure their learning is well supported.

We ask you all to download Zoom either or your laptop or mobile and create an account. When joining the meeting please ensure you enter your name and class (e.g. Adil Mushtaq 6th Class).

Online Classes

Dear Parents/Carers,
Following the Government’s directive of extending the countrywide lockdown, we have decided to move to online teaching. The lessons will be conducted through an online platform called “Zoom”. In the coming days, you will receive a meeting ID with instructions on how to join this ‘meeting’.
Zoom will run on all web-enabled digital devices, including desktop computers, laptops, and tablets. If needs must, it will also work on any smartphone, although a small screen is not ideal. Whilst we obviously do not have hardware that we can give to students, we can offer advice on which devices work best.
Timetables:
We will endeavor to run as many classes as we possibly can via online platforms. The sense of normality and routine is an important element of reassurance for students during an unsettling time. It is also the most efficient way to ensure continuity of learning for all. If the closure becomes prolonged, there may be some adjustments made.
